We are looking for an experienced, outside sales rep, who has serious hunter skills to cover our Central and Mountain States territory out of Houston. But this is no average sales role.
SeaDream is a luxury travel company specializing in providing our travelers with unprecedented levels of service and experience.
For 30 years, our founder has been innovating the luxury cruise industry. He is in the process of doing that again, and we need to spread that word to our travel partners and consumers throughout the Central/Mountain region. This is where you come in.
We have a fiercely loyal client base, many of whom have sailed with us 50, even 100 or more times. Our repeat business leads the industry because our product delivers once in a lifetime experiences every time people voyage with us. The problem? We are the “best-kept secret” in the industry! The travel professionals in your region need to hear about us, and not only that, help us gain access to their clients so that we can sell them the “dream.”
That’s what we are doing; here is what we need from our candidates to ensure that we continue to deliver the SeaDream experience.
Our first requirement is that you have experience selling luxury products. If they are luxury travel products, such as a luxury hotel, yachts, resorts or the like, that is a plus. In other words, you should have experience selling to HNW/UNHW people. (If you had to look that up, you might not be the candidate.) Why is this so important? Your primary role is to work with the travel agent community to sell full-yacht charters and conduct face to face meeting with consumers in the luxury space.
Second, we are looking for a hunter. We want someone who enjoys picking up the phone, tracking down leads, following up relentlessly on promises and deals, and most importantly closing sales!
Above all else, you must have a passion for travel and an unrelenting belief that SeaDream is the best product available on the market.
Here are a few non-negotiable items.
10+ years in the luxury travel industry. The luxury aspect is vital. Ideally, you are a part of the HNW/UHNW community – you belong to the clubs, know the players and have relationships with consumers of bespoke experiences. Further, specific relevant experience in Yacht and/or Cruise sales via both direct (B2C) and Travel Agency (B2B) channels are extremely desirable.
Ability to travel up to 70% of the time within your multi-State territory. Meaning, three to four nights a week in a hotel are easy for you.
A provable track record of consistently exceeding quota. We will ask you to provide results and proof. We are looking for top performers who can back this up with facts.
A referenceable work history – we will want to speak to some people you have sold through/to and to whom you have reported.
Must be able to work in the US legally.
Must live in the Houston area. Remote outside the greater Houston/Dallas region is not an option.
Must speak, read, and write English at the idiomatic level
Master or Bachelor’s degree preferred
